I had a surgery on my abdomen about eight weeks ago, and now I feel tightness along the stitches line. Why is that? Is my wound healing properly?
If your stitches have been removed and the area is healing well, the ‘tightness’ that you feel is most likely because the skin around the area is healing and growing back. This happens because the skin is stretching and can be a bit dry. It is a common symptom and is usually nothing to worry about. Ask your doctor to prescribe a moisturising antiseptic cream for the area, you should feel better soon.
